Generous portions of homestyle meals, sure to please! Friday's offering of Open-faced roast beef is served on huge slice of homemade bread with beef that has been simmered for 24 hours and melts in your mouth. Or try southern fried Catfish with coleslaw and white beans, always a favorite.
Desserts are homemade at their bakery and are delectable. One serving easily enough for two people, especially after the ginormous meal. Or buy extras to take home. You won't regret it!
The ladies who greet you are down to earth. The place has "country" all over it. I loved it. The stuffed French Toast was Marvelous!! The cinnamon roll was fabulous, and the price was great for what I had. The people who come are relaxed and just enjoying some good 'ole country food and service. I don't like the "perfect" service, I like the "real" service of just being human. I've been there twice and will continue to visit and eat there.
We had a group of 21. They accommodated us quickly and professionally. I was really surprised since they are a small place. The food was good. I had the turkey melt sandwich and regular fries. It was very good, although not my regular choice for eating. The wait staff was outstanding. Would definitely go again.
It's been a long time since I've been there but I remember my meals as being extremely delicious and I will look forward to returning out there again maybe sometime soon the best restaurant around here.... a little pricey but you pay for what you get... off of the menu I had Rory's overalls basically it's eggs sausage gravy it's a very good meal and you're a full when you get done.. it'll be cinnamon rolls to go if you get any..ha
What a great little place. Make sure you get there early as it fills up fast. We had a party of 5 and had to sit family style, this is sharing the big table with another family.
The service was great, all the staff are very friendly and helpful. My kids took a while to make up their minds and the server didn't mine answering any of their queasiness.
The food came out very quickly and it was amazing. I had the chicken fried steak and eggs. This was very tasty. One of my kids had what looked like the largest cinnamon roll I have ever seen. The other 2 had the stuffed French toast. This was also very good.
I would definitely recommend this place for a family breakfast.
