“First I will say the staff was nice and friendly. But this is a review on the food and cleanliness of the restaurant. The dining area was clean. There was signs of mold in the ceiling due to leaking (1 star). The condiment table was pretty nasty, there was tartar sauce and ketchup spills on the table. And it was sticky ( 1 star). The floors were clean (5 star). Now the Food: hmm Fries were not cooked completely(3 star). Crab cakes were burnt and gooey inside (2.5 star). (cooked to fast). The fish was cooked in what I would assume old oil. my husbands fish had burt batter on it ( 2.5 star). Shrimp was undercooked (4 star), needed another minute longer to brown them better. Hush puppies were good (4.5 star). Coleslaw was my favorite on my plate (5 star). All in all I will give Captain D's in Columbia, Tn a 3.5 star rating.”

“Glad to have fresher dining option in Columbia. Like the salads, and recently had the vegetable soup for first time and I was impressed. First few weeks of opening, there were mix ups with my order, but the managers seem to have worked out most of the kinks. Staff is friendly and very helpful. When I have gone the wait has not been too long. Comfortable seating and everything is clean and tidy.”

“Wheelchair accessible. Free parking. Great service. Pleasant atmosphere. I had been told about Kathy's for quite sometime but had never been able to stop by, until today. I had no idea what good country cooking I had been missing. Fried chicken, that was tender and juicy inside and crispy on the outside, was served up with a smile. The creamed corn was just like Grandma's. And the rolls were outstanding. I have been told that their breakfast is just as wonderful. Can't wait until I am back in Columbia. The only problem I found here is that they close at 2 p.m. However, they do offer take out.”

“We are in town from out of State checking out the Columbia State. My daughter eats most gluten free all the time. We saw this place on google and decided to check it out for breakfast. The place is charming when you walk in and the menu was less expensive than what I was expecting. Before the food came out, Paul the owner, greeted us and welcomed us to Columbia. He’s very hospitable! The food was outstanding. I wasn’t expecting the level of texture and flavor from a gluten free restaurant. I highly recommend stoping in at the Dotted Lime if you are in town, whether you eat gluten free or not, it doesn’t matter. The biscuits and gravy with a side of potatoes would be an excellent choice!”
