Dickeys Barbecue Pit

If I had rated this place a year ago it wouldve gotten 5 stars no questions asked. Lately the service has been quite mediocre. Food has been less than satisfactory for the price paid. I used to visit every Monday, but have since stopped going. The more recent crew is not as welcoming. The sauce buckets dont seem to get much attention and seems like the same sauce is heated and sitting in buckets for way too long. Friends of mine have noticed the decline as well, so I know it's not just me.
Hoping they encourage their staff to pay a bit more attention to detail and reward them for the proper customer service. Ownership or management may be where its trickling down from. I will become a regular customer again if they can correct the many issues they need to address, but getting me through that door again is not likely to happen anytime soon.

Love this place! For a chain restaurant, their food is pretty amazing. Kids eat free on Sundays, and they have free soft serve ice cream inside. I've always been drawn to their chopped brisket, and love the baked potato casserole and jalapeno pinto beans. I recently tried the smoked chicken breast, which makes excellent leftovers in an omelette! The service is also excellent, whether dining in, or carry out!

I really loved this barbecue spot. The food was so good and the people were friendly. I had the two meat plate with jalapeno cheddar kielbasa and pork barbecue. Both of these were excellent. The dining room space was also nice with several TVs for watching sports.
