My husband and I ate there during the soft opening! The food was delicious and you had plenty of it!!! Definitely worth the time to go visit!
Had to try the Moon Pie bread pudding. It was very impressive. Warm and tasty.
Took a bit to get it served. Waitress was cashier as well and it's difficult to manage both...may need to rethink that when it gets busy.
Tastiest wings in SE Tennessee. Best I have ever had! "Charles" their main chef, is a down to earth fella and an amazing chef. He knows his stuff/craft. Couldn't be happier. Good food with generous portions at a fair price. I hear they will be open during the off season as well.
We were there on the soft opening. We thoroughly enjoyed the dining experience. Food was excellent, we had the sampler platter and cheesecake dessert. Appreciate the paper towels in center of each table. This is a great addition to our county. I think it would help those that aren’t familiar with the area to have a sign on 64.
Finally getting a chance to share my review of Blue Hole Cafe
First impressions
• Needs better signage for sure
• Menu/pay sign taped to table
• Fries same price as Mac n cheese
• Needs sampler option (fixed)
• Tables unlevel and chairs have been pressure washed and tacky coarse texture
• Flies...
• Tea seemed instant not brewed entirely, milky look
• Service great and worked with us to make a sampler
• Ranch came in packets. Not house made
• Dog out front tied to porch barking at customers
Food
• Ribs great flavor and savory but well well over and dry
• Smoked wings wonderful across the board but overdone
• Mac n cheese good overall but again well over and mush
• Fries were great
• Baked beans great flavor but a little too much smoke but not enough to be overpowering
• I don't even eat Cole slaw but liked theirs
• Sauce was great but you could taste almost a bitter caramelized taste
• Smoked chicken was by far the star of the show, moisture spot on, flavor profile amazing💥
• Pulled pork was lacking flavor and had a charred grit within the meat which typically relates to unclean grates on the smoker leaving remnants on the meat
• Brisket was the hands down loser for the day. Brisket was sliced too thin, like bacon, and extremely dry though having a nice smoke ring lacked any flavor at all, no bark or seasoning.
These were items that were talked to openly with the folks there and my feedback was well received and appreciated. This place will definitely be a great spot for the area and I will definitely return.
