Rib City - Cookeville

Super cool atmosphere, really good BBQ and complete menu.
Feels like a chain, but I believe its locally owned.
Very clean, Great service and Fantastic food.
In an area full of BBQ, this is a family friendly stand out.

Food was good. It's not high quality bbq but definitely worth it. Prices were really good for the big portions. Restaurant is busy and popular.

We really loved Rib City. We went for a birthday lunch. Big portions of meats smoked daily at the restaurant. I had a delicious pulled pork sandwich, while my wife had a melt-in-your-mouth beef brisket sandwich. One of our friends had a great smoked turkey sandwich, which she loves and always orders, while her husband had a half-rack of baby back ribs, which he loved. We will definitely go back.

Got the pick 3 ribs, pulled pork, and sliced beef. Ribs super thin, dry and had a lighter fluid fake smoke charcoal flavor could not eat them. Pulled pork was good. The sliced beef just plain. Sweet tea is good. I expect that when we go to a restaurant the food should be better or equal to what I can cook at home . But the waitress was very nice though and the service was very good.
