Captain D's

Very disappointing. Food was greasy and overcooked. I had to throw away over half my dinner because I couldn't eat it. This used to be one of my favorite places but I wont be coming back any time soon.

I love my food fresh and hot therefore when I order I always ask for fresh up and hot food and I'll be glad to wait. I did this here but. I got fast service, food out quick and you guessed it... Tough fish, barely warm fries and over done hush puppies. I tried to eat it but I couldn't. Thought about just throwing it away and leave but an employee happened to be near and I explained my situation and I apologized for asking her for help as she didn't take or cook my order/food. I didn't get her name but I'm thankful for her and her willingness to help, empathy for me, a caring heart and gentle soft voice and efficient service. She made things right. If she's not the manager of this location, she should be! I did contact the regional or district manager via email but I haven't heard anything back from her yet. I'm giving 3 stars because of this 1 special lady! Thank you so much! On this note I ask Captain D's to consider the importance of Quality of food vs cost.

Just have to brag on the younger guy working the window tonight 8/9 @ 10:15pm. Customer service these days is terrible, so when you actually get someone that seems like they actually care about doing their job, it’s so shocking/surprising that you feel like writing a review about it. He has been there 2 other times when I have went through the drive through on the way home and was the same friendly employee then too. When I pulled in I actually wondered if he was working (because I know my order will be right and it will be quick), that’s the kind of person you want working for your company, good job again and thanks!

Our experience was overall pretty good. The sides were more or less what you'd expect from a place like this. The fish was excellent, but I guess it has to be if fish is the whole gimmick. The chicken tenders were basically inedible, but when we returned them the crew kindly made us fresh ones that were very good. The restaurant seemed slightly sticky inside but there were not that many customers so someone could have been wiping some tables.
