One of Murfreesboro's more upscale restaurants, this place is a little more expensive than your average eatery, but it is worth it. They try to use as many use local ingredients as possible and the menu changes out about every 3 months, there are entrees you don't find on other menus. Lamb porterhouse chops, duck, and seafood dishes prepared in unique ways. Make sure to try once of their specialty cocktails at the bar while you wait. I do recommend reservations, especially on Friday or Saturday. I've seen people that walk in without them get turned away.
Great local restaurant with a diverse menu that changes seasonally. Good atmosphere. Tables only, no booths but has a nice bar section. Decent wine list but no draft beer.
Fives Senses is a true jewel for fine dining in Murfeesboro. I admit to having lower expectations, with its strip mall location, but don't let the location deter you from visiting. Inside, we found a casually elegantly appointed eatery, full of diners enjoying the fare. Everyone in my party raved about the dishes presented to them. My chicken was superbly prepared and was very tender and delicious, and the blackened red fish special was perfectly spiced and cooked to perfection. This should be noted as a local gem!
My Husband and I dinned here on Saturday. The atmosphere was great. Our waiter was professional. The alcoholic beverages were good. I was shocked to see an upscale restaurant to serve cornbread muffins with no option of rolls. I do not like cornbread muffins and that was the only option. For a $100 ticket one would expect an option of rolls. We ordered the buffalo chops and the Halibut dishes and they were good. The four stars instead of five is due to no option for rolls.
They had a set menu with many wonderful choices. The Escolar fish with banana pepper salsa was on believably great! All the food was wonderful and they were very thoughtful when they heard it was our anniversary to present the desert with a happy anniversary message in chocolate! The service was excellent, the setting was nice. I have been there a couple of times and very much enjoyed it…it IS a little pricey...But definitely worth trying.
