La Siesta Mexican Restaurant

Meh. About as average as it gets. And they cancel their happy hour because it’s Friday afternoon even though the restaurant was completely empty and I would have spent twice as much if they had to happy hour. That’s really dumb. Which probably speaks to why the place is so empty with such an average rating.u

My family likes this place not only for the food but because they give back to the community via supporting local schools soccer teams.

Me and boyfriend enjoy coming here . We are normally waited by the manager of the restaurant. He is friendly and always makes sure if we are doing okay . However, we will no longer be coming here due to the ridiculous service we recently received. I ordered a margarita and showed the waiter my id. He looked at it for awhile because he thought I was under aged. I am 23 years old. I have ordered alcoholic drinks here before and never had this issue. He takes our drink and food order and walks away. Literally not a minute later, another waiter comes to our table and asks for our drink and food order, even though we already ordered. We told him the other waiter took out order, but he insisted, and of course looked at my id again. When he walked off, my boyfriend , who understands Spanish, overheard the two waiters talking to each other. He said that the first waiter who took our order asked the other waiter to check my id because I looked like a child.
Seriously? I’ve been here plenty of times and have never had an issue ordering a drink.
When our food and drinks arrived, I could already tell they watered down my drink. Whatever.
Also, our food was a bit mediocre that night as well. We ordered steak fajitas but barely got any steak. Just mainly green peppers and onions.
While we were eating, they constantly walked by our table but hardly ever checked with us to see if we needed refills or if everything was fine. We felt that we were being watched. Did not enjoy the meal or the service. We obviously paid and tipped , but this will be our last time coming here.
