Hickory Falls Restaurant

Amazing service! I was greeted twice before I even made it to the hostess station.

Waiter was excellent as well. He was at my table within a minute of me sitting down, and I had rolls and sweet tea in front of me within another minute or two. Very impressive, especially considering they were quite busy.

Rare steak was actually rare. Asparagus was flavorful and fresh, and the mac & cheese was great.

This place was good but not excellent. The steak was not medium it was more toward well done. The macaroni could use some seasoning as it tasted like it came out of a box, the mashed sweet potatoes were great. The shrimp and grits was the best thing that we had.
Service was better than the food.

Hickory Falls in Smyrna was once one of my favorite restaurants. The menu offers some items that you normally don't see in other places. My husband and I were there for lunch. The service was impeccable. The waitress was happy and very friendly. The food left a lot to be desired. I had the rotisserie chicken and a side of broccoli. The waitress stated that the chicken had just come up and should be good, but it wasn't. It was dry and a little tough. The broccoli was undercooked and not seasoned at all. I was disappointed in the food to say the least. We did have a piece of the carrot cake to share for dessert and it was as good as I remembered. Because I have fond memories of this place, I will probably give it one more try. If it had been our first time dining in Hickory Falls, I would not be inclined to go back. The prices are comparable to other sit down restaurants in our area.

Ribs were awesome but the broccoli and asparagus could have been cooked a bit longer. They were crunchy. The rotisserie chicken was very moist but not a ton of flavor. We also had the spinach artichoke dip and it was ok. I've had better. The waitress was very upbeat and smiled a lot. I loved her she was great! The prices were adequate for what we ordered. The rotisserie chicken dinner was a half of a chicken plus two sides for $11.99.
