Salvo's Pizza

I just found this place by accident. Was driving around near my workplace and saw a sign for pizza and happen to just stop on in and get a slice. I was born and raised in NYC so I’m very particular about giving reviews for pizza places outside of the city. Actually, I have never done a review for a pizza place since living in TN the past 3 years. This is by far the realest NYC pizza you’ll get in TN. The guy that runs this place is from Brooklyn and knows what he’s doing. If you’re all about the thick, Chicago style pizzas, you might disagree with this review. But if you’re trying to find a taste of NY in TN, this is your spot! So happy I found it!

AWESOME. great food, good prices. super service. well worth the hour drive to get there.( the traffic had a few issues so it took 1 and a half hours to get there).
I had the Salvo's Stromboli(large).. best I've had. Large enough to feed 2 people with very healthy appetites. 4 if they are light eaters.
my GF had the shrimp scampi. she said it was awesome. more then enough for 1 person.( we ended up taking half of hers and 3/4 of mine home).
we also ordered some garlic knots for the ride home. but we were too stuffed from the meal to eat them.(we had them later,,,Delicious).
really can't go everyday but well worth the drive every couple of months for a great evening out for some really good food. I wish they had a store a little closer. this would be a weekly thing.

Absolutely recommend this place. Great service and excellent tasting pizza! We love thicker crust and the available Sicilian pizza is the perfect crust. They also have hand tossed which is also excellent.

Sorry have to update this 6/26/19. They NO longer have the buffet. Food is still great!
Great lunch Buffet! If you live in Murfreesboro like me and miss the buffet at Sal's, this will meet your needs. I believe it is the same family and the food is just as good. I would even say there is a better selection. $26 for 2 buffets and 2 drinks. Taste the meatballs, excellent! Pizza, pasta, fried calamari, salad, etc.

We stayed the night in Smyrna during a road trip and gave Salvo’s Pizza a try and were not let down. We had the pizza, garlic knots, and meatballs. My family loved everything, including my daughter who doesn’t like anything.

I would highly recommend Salvo’s for anyone looking for good pizza in Smyrna.
