Alamo Steak House

Darcy was our waiter and he was super friendly and helpful with suggestions. He was also professional and attentive. My sons burger was huge and he loved. Fries delish. My prime rib was super favorable and so tender I could cut with a fork. Loved the whipped butter and fresh hot rolls too. Huge salad. Loved this meal.

Steak was good; not outstanding (not worth $35), but good flavor. Just hard to cut. Good sides, average bread. Won't soon return...

Well, I did return. Twice. Both times significantly better. (that's why I added a ????) What a difference a good server can make. The kitchen still can't seem to grasp the meaning of "very rare"; but at least I didn't get it medium well. I wonder, are the people on the grill afraid of "rare" and terrified by "VERY RARE"?

I've probably been here 5 times in the past 2 years and this has become one of my favorite restaurants. It is more expensive than the average meal, so we don't always go here. But, I get excited when we decide that we will be eating here. The steaks are always cooked properly, the salads are great and very large portions. The sides are also very good. I prefer the prime rib, but I have had other cuts as well - it depends on what I'm in the mood for. My wife loves the filet. My son had a burger here one time and it was so good, that I've almost ordered it instead of steak (almost). I'm not a huge fan of salads, but I really like the wedge salad here. I also recommend the creamed spinach. You can't go wrong!

My husband and I were in Pigeon Forge on our anniversary trip. He surprised me with reservations in one of the love nests. It was very private and romantic, such a sweet idea. Our server was outstanding! Tina answered every question we had. She was very friendly and helpful. She even got a sample of one of the sauces. The food was excellent. We definitely want to visit this restaurant again and will recommend it to all of our friends!! Bill and Jill Murphy

We had never been to an Alamo and David explained everything to us, took our drink order and came back. The best prime rib was the best I have ever had. I ordered it to be cooked one way and David suggested I have it cooked a little less than I planned and he explained way. It was cooked perfectly and I am glad I took his suggestion. My wife's filet was falling apart. The sides and salads were perfect. David was attentive and friendly, but not a bother. We enjoyed the meal and he was close enough if we needed anything. On a 1-5 scale, the meal was a 5, David was a 5+ and the remainder of the staff was a 5. Thanks for a excellent meal, we will be back.
