Bog & Barley Irish Pub

The best Irish pub I've been to! The scotch eggs were amazing (had a jammy yolk), and the mustard sauce they were served with will be on my mind for a long while.

The duck fat fries were well seasoned and delicious, but the fat collects at the bottom of the cup that they are served in,, leaving the last few bites to be a little unpleasant. I'm not sure what could be done about that, but I think that it's worth addressing for future services.

Bangers and mash were very good, and my boyfriend's pork chop, though maybe a little tough in a couple spots, was very tasty as well. The ambiance is top notch though, be sure to get a seat on the second floor if possible (reservation might be necessary).

Rich wood adorns every room from floor to ceiling creating an exclusive Irish club vibe. Food is hearty so put on your stretchy pants. JD was a fantastic server providing menu recommendations that did not disappoint.

Much larger inside than you imagine from the front. Terrific setting with an upstairs. Very detailed design and Irish signs and art everywhere. Cool wood throughout, and you feel it's authentic. Many good food choices, and everyone loved the brusselsprouts and mussels. Fish and chips were done right, especially the fish. The chips are fried in heavy oil, so you will fill up. Good and friendly service. I'll be back!

I was pleasantly surprised that I liked this place so much. It once was a liquor store but has truly been transformed into a beautiful restaurant and Irish pub. The dark wood and attention to detail is outstanding. I got bangers and mash which tasted great. I will most definitely go back and will take friends with me.
