Honestly surprised at the 5 star reviews.

Pulled off the highway from St Louis and picked this based on the great rating. I was in the mood for a burger, like it has painted on the side of their building and listed on their menu, and so was our little one.

We get there and it’s standard soul food - yams, greens, okra, etc - everything we were looking forward to for sides n such. It was a Sunday.

My fiancé ordered the lasagna. When it was my turn I said a cheese burger please, and one of the workers responded “Sir, this is soul food, we don’t serve burgers.” I was confused, looked at the word BURGERS in big letters on the wall mounted menu, and ended up with lasagna.

Food was ok. There’s soul food just about anywhere you go, north or south, it’s not just a Memphis thing. Sides were good. Put off by the comment though, probably wouldn’t recommend.

Good food. There is a line around lunchtime therefore there is a wait. Maybe 5 to 10 mins. Dont go after 2pm because the choices are limited. There are maybe 6 entrees and 9 sides and 2 bread choices. They have dessert and salads also.

The food here is delicious and fresh. Even though they have a daily menu, the include some staple entrees that give you a good variety of choices. I was looking a good Soul Food place close to my job and I've found one in Daisy's

My experience with Daisy today was very pleasant. That cashier was complaining about their card machine but her service to me was A1!!!!!! And the smothered pork chops are the best!!! Nice and tender ???????????????????? Daisy has a life long customer in me!!!

I'm very upset I haven't come across this place sooner. I travel to Memphis fairly often for work and when I have time to grab lunch, it's hard to find GOOD food without driving far.

I decided to try this place out and I'm so happy I did. I've never had baked chicken that delicious. It was so damn juicy and just fell right off the bone. Seasoned perfectly. I got the mac and cheese and it was exactly how I like it, and I'm picky with mac and cheese. I also had northern beans and that was delicious as well. Glad it came with bread so I could soak up everything leftover. I ate every bite.

The server was really friendly and the place seemed reasonably busy for it only being like 11am. The vibe in there is nice. Some real low mellow music playing in the background and people enjoying each others company. I felt right at home there and I didn't know a single person in there.

I'm going back tomorrow because I saw they had Oxtail on the menu and I'm ready to try it.
