Gus's World Famous Fried Chicken

I highly, highly recommend this restaurant to people that like fried chicken.
It was recommended to me by a friend from Birmingham.
Hands down, some of the beat fried chicken on the planet. It's simple, yet amazing chicken.
The prices are incredible. The best chicken ever, at the best prices ever.
Go to Gus's, you'll thank yourself for that decision.

Delicious fried chicken and sides! Chicken was a bit spicier than expected but delicious. Of course kids or anyone with low tolerance for spice may feel differently. Tried the greens, slaw, mac and Cheese, and BBQ beans... All flavorful and excellent. Fried pickles also earned a thumbs up. This location has a bit of Memphis soul character, which is awesome, but also a bit cramped. Was clean and friendly!

Great classic Memphis vibe. Don't want to miss this one. Wonderful fried chicken and excellent service. We had to wait 30 minutes but definitely worth the wait. Highly recommended!!!

Wow that was yummy chicken! The dark meat was juicy with a crispy coating. I love that they make it spicy, too (not over the top spicy, but if you can't handle any heat be warned)! The baked beans are also delicious and even though I'm not a big potato salad fan, that was also good. Worth a try if you're in the area!

The premises are kind of grimy but that's part of the charm if you ask me. ????

Gus Famous chicken held up to their name.. The chicken was well seasoned, juicy, and most importantly fresh. Its always packed so their will be a wait but it’s worth it. The waiters had great customer service. I love this place. I will stop by next time I’m in town.
