    I have lived in Memphis for 18 years now, but never had Jack Pirtle's chicken. I ordered a 4 piece dinner box, and it was good. The chicken had a nice light golden tone. The rolls were good. Crinkle fries were a bit soggy. I dipped my finger in the gravy, and it was okay. Overall, it was a good meal for a Saturday night, but nothing overwhelming.

    The restaurant could definitely use a facelift. The parking lot has numerous potholes throughout. The walls have a coat of grease. The dining area is above the rest of the restaurant. You must step up to get there, and that's a safety issue. A little more troubling is that there is a sign warning you of the step-up. If Jack Pirtle's is a Memphis institution, then they need to renovate this location. These issues are probably present at all locations.

    Food was good, though.

    Chicken/Steak Sandwich/Liver/Gizzards were all good. Unsweet Tea iz excellent.

    Great place, chicken was cooked fresh! I will visit again! The staff was also nice!

    LOVE THIS PLACE! FOOD IS EXCELLENT AND THE CUSTOMER SERVICE IS GREAT!!! NEED THIS PLACE IN BALTIMORE MARYLAND
