Timber!

We came in from out of town to eat here, and it didn't disappoint. The trout and the steak were fantastic, but the garnishes on both really made the meal. The bacon succotash in particular was heavenly. Great mix of flavors on everything. Not to mention the fantastic cocktails. Best food we've had in a long time.

Outstanding food! The elk and eggs special was spot on, burgers very good but can only be cooked medium. The crispy potato skins and trout dip are amazing. Not a fan of ordering at the bar, could be a hassle when it is busy. Definitely will be back again soon!

Five stars because everything tasted wonderful, was thoughtfully sourced and prepared and because the staff were kind and helpful. A few caveats though. Order the canned beer, draft beers although good are far short of a proper beer serving size (think around 6 oz in a wine glass for some a 10 oz highball for others). The portions will fill you up but aren't exactly "dinner" plan on ordering a few sharable items and everyone trying everything. All around though it's a very unique experience not just to Johnson City but probably the region. Always glad to see new locally owned restaurants so busy :)

I’ve been to Timber! a few times now and always with my soon to be 10 month old in tow. The food is hands down amazing, fresh and often locally sourced. I LOVE the idea of a seasonal rotating menu, there’s just something special about eating what’s currently growing in and around our community.

Becoming a parent didn’t change my enjoyment of good food and/or drinks.
Our kiddo is an active tot and it’s been fun to bring her along and let her explore the back patio (complete with kids’ play area!), while I mingle and have a cocktail. I love that there’s been other families with little ones there each time we have gone.
My daughter has gotten to play and socialize with other kiddos that she wouldn’t have otherwise.
From my personal experience, the identity of the Timber! seems to be one of community inclusion. It’s a place where folks from all walks of life and all of life’s time tables can enjoy good food and spirits. It feels nice to know a good meal and specialty drink(!) in my neighborhood isn’t out of reach now that I have a tiny +1.
Also of note, my kiddo and her messes have ONLY been met with kindness from the staff.
Often times we stay home for fear of being an inconvenience, but Timber! has made our family feel welcome.
And did I mention the food is incredible! Try the trout and thank me later!

Timber! has a super kid-friendly patio. The cocktails are interesting and delicious. The beer list is well-curated and very economical. My kids love the corn dogs, my wife loves the Caesar salad. I think my favorite thing is the wings or the smoked trout dip. I love ordering food items a few at a time while the kids can come and go from the play area and the adults can chat over a few drinks.
