What a cool place. The BBQ smelled great, but it was too early for lunch. Lots of memoabilia for sale inside. Had places to stay as well.
Wow, what a great idea! Taking a piece of horror movie memorabilia and turning it into a gathering place for fans to unite with some horror icons! The Gas Station has turned into a fun and tourist destination for Texas Chainsaw Massacre fans and horror film buffs alike. Meeting some of my favorite horror legends was a dream come true. The camping was also fun, but remember it’s a camp not a hotel so bring your flip-flops for the communal bathrooms and showers.
I went mainly because of I heard the BBQ was amazing and of course, the movie. This place is amazing! Anyone that goes to that place south of Austin with the vineyard and a huge line you should change up and go here! Love, The Gas Station!
That BBQ was amazing! Well worth the drive! Being a horror film fanatic it was a pretty cools experience! Inside was a bit cramp but the back area to sit and eat was nice. Wished there was more movie and historical event items to see. But I completely enjoyed it!
Great place and the customer service was amazing. All the merchandise is AWESOME!! Ended up buying my husband his costume mask and my daughter a child play doll. Definitely worth the drive we took!!
