Pine Forest Golf Club

Understand you get what you pay for at ~$25 a round bc they have to cover staff and gas on the carts. If you have pay more, do not play here. The fairway grass was in horrible shape, almost comical even, when I teed off on hole 10 drove the ball straight 280 only to find it in a puddle (one of many and it hasn't been raining). Grass is just short weeds and hard solid ground so getting touch on approach shots is tough. Scenic and challenging par 3s have distances way off on scorecards so bring your binoculars to calculate. Greens are pretty easy to read, mostly flat, grass quality I'd go 4/10 on. I did like a few of the holes distance and design wise though and maybe 2-3 holes have legit scenic views. Interesting experience driving in from Austin.

Staff is great. Course is in a great setting. A few more improvements on fairways would make this a five star course. Still have plans to return.

Sampled the Shrimp N Grits at the new restaurant in the golf clubhouse. Wow! Serious flavors and freshest shrimp. A winner in every way

Challenging course but the greens need quite a bit of work as well as some fairways. But , you get a good value. +/-$50 for a round of golf with cart.
