“We had a great experience at Mi Ranchito! Tasty homemade style food, amazing chips and salsa, and friendly service. We’d like the prices to be a bit lower, but it’s awesome food with Austin prices. I would highly recommend this local gem. I hope they do great business and stay around for a while!”

“We all have something that we love to eat from here mine is a number 4 and 8. These are my go too meals from here. The thing that matters the most is if the service is the best possible you can get depending on the location. Good service will win in this battle everytime”

“This is a very typical roadside BBQ joint. There is no inside seating but there are several large tables under cover. The BBQ is very good and the prices are very reasonable. If I wanted to impress someone visiting from out of the country Benny's demonstrates what the Texas BBQ experience is all about.”

“We had a wonderful impromptu dinner here with a large group while we were staying at the Hyatt. Even though there was a private event taking place on the patio we were greeted and served quickly. The pizzas were larger than expected and came out VERY fast. One of the pizzas was out before the last person finished eating. We enjoyed a drink in the rocking chairs after and the staff gladly helped us pack up our leftovers and transferred our drinks into to-go cups for our post-dinner stroll. All in all a great family get-together for all 15 of us!!!”

“Oh my goodness. First, let me start by saying we drive over half an hour for our taco fix because the brisket tacos at Preferido are the best both my boyfriend and I have ever had. When we first started dating, we would take our motorcycle over every weekend. I am not kidding in the least. Their breakfast tacos are also above and beyond your typical egg taco. DELICIOUS! They are also always working to improve their tiny trailer and set up, which is nice to see.”

“We went here around 8:30 on a Friday. They close at 8. The owner put on a tired smile and took our order. We could tell she was ready to go but she helped us anyway. She was always polite. She’d run out of freshly baked buns and told us the store bought weren’t quite as good as hers, she warned. When our food came out (fast) we left (they were closed). We parked at the gas station down the street and opened the bag. The burger was to die for. Literally! If she can whip a work of art like this when she’s tired and ready to go imagine what she does for lunch hour! The burger was cooked to order, a nice medium well. It’s was ridiculously juicy. The meat was fresh. That cow had been dead 24 hrs at most. The pickles are home made. They’re vulgar. They’re a delicacy. They’re a gift from the gods of food. I don’t remember the buns, the onions were thin sliced and lettuce was fresh. The meat and the pickles stole the show. The fries were well seasoned and thick cut. They were good. But, did I tell y’all about the pickles and juicy patty? Those pickles are delicious. It’s a sin not to eat try them. I recommend you try The Texas Road Stand.”

“Beef fajita and chicken fajita tacos are awesome. Their salsa is legit and hot. They give you lime to sprinkle on top. It’s top notch trailer food. My gf and I literally didn’t eat in anticipation of stopping there.”

“I have driven by this location for many years, and so glad I finally stopped. The service is fast and friendly, the prices are very affordable, with free chips and salsas while you wait. The food is delicious. I believe in the rice and beans having flavor of their own, and theirs are yummy! The taco plate was the perfect size for me. The double burger plate was so huge it whooped me, and I brought home leftovers. It comes with free toppings of ham, bacon, avocado, peppers, lettuce, tomato, onion, and I cut it in half just to hold it. If you're a big eater, I challenge you to a double burger plate! I'm looking forward to trying their other menu items.”

“Looks are deceiving! Left COTA hangry and u-turned to this roadside hole in the wall. The tacos were absolutely amazing, best I've ever had. Definitely give this authentic Mexican spot a shot!!”

“I like to order from the dollar menu. I like the breakfast menu best. The coffee is always good. I don’t know how their hamburgers have been become so popular they don’t put lettuce tomatoes or pickles and onions on them, just bread, meat, and secret sauce, and cheese. And they are the smallest hamburgers of all the burger places.”
