Show up hungry!...I ordered the "Chicken and Waffle" plate...Three very meaty wings and four mini waffles...I left more than satisfied.
My friend ordered Chicken nuggets and waffles (real chicken, not chopped) They have other dishes available...Catfish..Shrimp and assorted combos. I recommend this place but as I said 'show up hungry'!

Really good food. Always fresh and hot! We love the mix of waffles you can get.

The tender and waffle basket was delicious. The fries and fried pickles were only ok but the staff was so wonderful. I will go back because everyone was so nice and courteous.

Very good! The food was hot and fresh. Chicken was crunchy. Waffles were an excellent mix of crispy on the outside and fluffy on the inside. The red velvet waffles were on point. I did expect just a bit more flavor in the flesh of the meat. Other than that, very good.

We decided to try The South Chicken and Waffles Express. Nice, clean restaurant and the cashier was nice pointing out items that were not yet on the menu. I had the catfish and grits with a cornbread waffle...the catfish was perfectly cooked and the grits had the perfect consistency (not runny and not lumpy as is so often the case) both tasted good! The cornbread waffle was delicious but had more waffle mix than cornbread which made it kind of sweet. My wife tried the chicken and waffle sliders, she found that the chicken was a little spicy (I couldn't taste it), but the chicken was not dry and was good!. The buttermilk waffles were well cooked and not overdone. We also tried the fried pickles and the corn fritters. Both were very good. We will definitely go back to try other things as the menu is large. for two sides, two dinners, and 2 large soft drinks the $35 price was reasonable.
