Love the food! Went during the week for lunch and was seated right away. Loved the salsa. Had chicken with tomatoes and avocado smothered in cheese. It was delicious. Definately will go back.

If you are in San Antonio and you are looking for the best tortillas in town, look no further! And yes, everything else on the menu is outstanding! I've tried everything, from the fajitas to the flautas. I have always left completely full and totally satisfied. Also, don't forget to grab a few packs of fresh tortillas to take with you! Can't wait to head back down for my next trip here!!

Waitresses are amazing. Friendly and welcoming.food is fantastic. Home made fresh tortilla that are very fluffy. Also given free with meal like your chips and salsa. It is a local favorite. Its a place where tourist and locals can both agree on. Love this place.

Everyone here are extremely welcoming from the time you walk in until you walk out. Wait staff are excellent every single time we went there and we went there 5 times in 9 days on our vacation! I had the cheese enchiladas twice and they are the best I've ever had. I had the chicken fried steak 2 times (yes in a Mexican restaurant) and I can't say enough about how good it was along with the cream gravy. I had the ground beef puffy tacos and they were excellent. My husband had the fajitas 3 times and the ground beef puffy tacos twice and said everything was excellent. Not to forget the warm flour tortillas they bring to your table with butter, everyone needs to taste these, they're homemade right there and are excellent. We bought 2 dozen flour and 2 dozen corn tortillas, at lunch the day we left to come home, to take home with us and they gladly wrapped them up for the trip home. As soon as you sit down they put chips and salsa on your table and take your drink order. I give this restaurant 10 stars out of 5 and wish they'd open one in Layton, Utah where we live. It would have to be a pretty big restaurant because Hill Air Force Base is there along with all the civil service workers who would flock to this restaurant for lunch and dinner AND US! Thank you ALAMO CAFE for your delicious food and drinks! I'm from San Antonio, Texas and have been going to this restaurant forever and will continue everytime we visit. As soon as we checked into our hotel we drove as fast as we could to eat the best Mexican Food in San Antonio, Texas and we were not disappointed.

We always have a great experience at Alamo Cafe. We love their tortillas, salsa, and queso. Everything I've tried has been excellent. The atmosphere is fun and friendly. Perfect for large groups or dinner for two. The servers are quick and attentive. My favorite place to get a cheat meal by far!
