First time visit. We stopped in for lunch. Loved the decor. Service was friendly. We tried five different menu items and they were all very good. I would love to go back for dinner.

Wow this place is a hidden gem! We went on a Saturday night and it was perfect. Great service, atmosphere, and food. We shared 4 tapas between 2 people and it was extremely filling. There was even a live band!

I will definitely be going back. It’s one of those places you can also take your out of town guests.

I've spent a lot of time in Spain and have always been disappointed with the usual tapas restaurants that have come and gone in San Antonio over the past several years, however my first experience at Toro last night was simply spectacular. We started in the downstairs speakeasy and enjoyed some cocktails that were inventive, experiential and delicious (fire, smoke, liquid nitrogen, and other exotic preparations). The bar staff was top notch and the downstairs ambiance was perfect. Even though many bars/restaurants in St. Paul Square have traditionally felt overly touristy, Toro didn't feel that way at all. We then went upstairs for dinner and ordered an array of tapas and paella. The tapas were prepared very authentically and it felt like being back in Spain. They nailed even the smallest details that other tapas restaurants usually overlook. They have a nice wine list with some very reasonable by the bottle pricing. Finally, the paella came out and it was classically delicious. The wait staff was attentive to us and the few waiters that served us communicated well with each other about our orders. I live in the neighborhood and am so glad to have Toro at St. Paul Square and look forward to returning soon with a bigger group!

This place is one of a kind. Music is just right. Even in the bathroom they make you feel like you're in Spain. Live music from talented musicians. Friendly and experienced waitresses will make your first experience one of a kind (just like mine). The ceviche, the paella, sangria, lemonade and much more other choice are top of the line. Definitely will be back.

Great experience. Wonderful tapas, creative drinks, good wine list. Excellent service. Ask for Marcos. Live music Saturdays. Tip: skip the paella (or split between several people) and get more of the tapas. It's very good, but the tapas are fantastic.
