Gino's Deli @ Stop & Buy

Amazing sandwiches but that is not only what makes this place so special. The customer service and pride that the owner delivers with every experience and person that walks in the door is what makes Gino's so great. I witnessed a bad accident right in front of the store and the owner was running around helping and passing out complimentary waters to all the medical teams. This place is truly something special.

UPDATE: Rabbi Scott is my new favorite sandwich! The first time I had it, I fully intended to take half of it home for later--but I couldn't stop. And now here I am having it again, three days later. :)

They're serious about not paying unless you're satisfied! I was very surprised that we didn't pay until we left. My husband, a picky eater, was delighted that he could get his sandwich the way he wanted it--just meat and cheese. I got the Italian with everything. It wasn't the best sandwich I'd ever had, but it was very good. I'm looking forward to trying a different sandwich the next time we go there. The only thing I didn't like was that the fountain drinks were Pepsi instead of Coke. (The iced tea was very good and fresg.)

Oh dear lord , the sandwiches , all the sandwiches are to die for.. the fresh bread is so perfectly made for Gino's. They cook the right amount of the right ingredients . It is a perfectly made sandwich. I have nothing bad to say, nothing even close..This little store puts out a MIGHTY sandwich. The owners treat you like you are a king or queen , and when your food comes out it is perfect.just absolutely perfect..And Gino is a great person , did you know that he and his family feeds the kids that don't have family to feed them dinner and lunch..they do this not for recognition but because it is the right thing to do..So not only is the food top notch , the people who are there working are doing good things for others..so please if you love a great sandwich or hamburger then go and support them.

We've been in San Antonio for 10 years after living in the east coast for 35 years and eating at the heart of cheese steak country. This was the first time at Gino's, and I've got to tell you it was one of the best cheese steaks I've had. Quality of everything was great, especially the meat and cheese, which is more than I can really say for the original Gino's in Philly. My only real suggestion is firmer bread, and mushroom (the wife likes them in hers). Keep up the great work we will be back soon.
