Kura Revolving Sushi Bar

This Revolving Sushi Restaurant is the first of its kind in San Antonio. The second closest is in Austin. This location is a bit smaller than that one. However, it's still a cozy, comfortable place to visit. I do recommend checking wait times before going as it does tend to get pretty busy. The food selection here is varied and very tasty. Is it THE BEST sushi around? It's probably not. But it's consistently good and I have not been disappointed the few times I have visited. It's definitely a good place to visit for the novelty of it all. It's pretty fun to visit with family or friends. I would definitely recommend this place. It's easy and affordable and something different to try in San Antonio.

All the sushi we tried tasted good. I think they go through enough volume given the long wait-list that everything is fresh (nothing sitting in the conveyor long). The plate game is cute. The drink robot initially serving drinks is adorable and I wish it also brought out refills. It plays cute music as it moves around and is very good at navigating around people and other drink robots.

Highly recommend getting the restaurant app and using the wait-list feature so you aren't just standing outside. We waited outside no more than 10 minutes however I joined the wait list a good 3 hours before I planned on eating there.

Download the app and get on the wait-list. We showed up and checked in at 4:53 and didn't get sat till 8:50. I will be checking in from the app from now on ☺️ as I did see people who arrived and got sat fairly soon after their arrival. The only way that was possible is if they used the app to get on the wait-list. However long the wait was, I will still be returning because of the experience and great food. The staff is super friendly and the food was delicious. We had beers and tons of plates and got full for sure. Only paid about 82 and change including tip which would be about 41 bucks and change per person. I highly recommend coming if you like all types of sushi! Can't wait to go back and try more of the food!

This place was great! Wait was long but I understand why. Totally unique experience. Belts that bring you food and robots delivering drinks, what’s not to love. Food was pretty good and definitely got my fill at a good price. Jane served us and did a really great job, helped us when we got confused. Will be coming back for sure.

Its a five star experience for eating great food and really good service. The wait time to get your number called speaks volumes to the good food. The younger adults in our party knew the wait time would be at least a couple hours so they got us into the system. Knowing that going into it, we timed our visit and enjoyed a great meal in a conveyor line of food plates. Cost for four adults was about $100. It could easily go higher but take your time and enjoy the food. It was a fun dining out!!
