Liberty Bar

OK, so this is one of the rare times that I regret I'm so liberal with my 5-star reviews. Because I'd give this place 6 if I could. Just stellar, all round; love the location; love the decor; the menu is eclectic and interesting and the cocktails complex and not too sweet. Fabulous brunch menu. Wonderful service (Monica took the time to tell us a little about the building - an old convent - and even its resident ghost, Theodore) and an all-round fabulous experience. We were torn between desserts and were gifted a taster of the geranium cream on the house and by GOLLY it was good. The bread pudding we'd originally ordered was amazing too but we were so glad to try something so unique.
Go to Liberty Bar! You will never regret it! And you'll go again if you have the chance, I'm just certain of it :)

Great food! Calamari, Goat Cheese, Smoked Fish. Interesting and Tasty Entrees; Venison Burger, Leg of Lamb Sandwich. Yummy fresh sauces. Delicious desserts! Margo was super friendly and provided attentive service.

This was my first visit and I'm impressed! The food was excellent, loved the breads. Our waitress was very kind and I don't remember her name but I know she has a beautiful smile along with a baby coming phyisic. Thank you!

Liberty Bar consistently features warm service and delicious food. This neighborhood eatery is great for solo dining or dining with friends and offers a variety of options. On weekends they have a hearty Texas brunch menu (the local sausages are amazing), and the lunch/dinner and late night menus are equally as solid. Liberty Bar is known for having wine specials and a full bar with local beer on tap. If you're looking for a spot to have a well-crafted drink and a bite, this is certainly the place. Liberty Bar is one of my favorite restaurants in all of San Antonio, and I highly recommend visiting as often as possible.

Co-Hosted a Bridal Shower in the St Benedict Room for around 25 ladies. The room was a perfect size for us. Loved the wallpaper and large windows. We were very well taken care of by the staff, food was great, a most enjoyable experience. Would recommend to anyone!
