Luby's

First, I'm happy to hear Luby's will keep some locations open. They have been a staple in San Antonio. I've always enjoyed their fried fish, always. However, on this day I visited the location on Main and the fried fish was not up to standards. I noticed that a tray of fish while walking through the line, was darker than usual. Perhaps the fish was left a little longer in the fryer that expected. I suspected it may taste like the oil may have needed replacing, but after consuming the fish I concluded it was left a little longer. Ultimately, it tasted okay, not delicious. The greens beans were good and the broccoli was too mushy, perhaps over steamed/cooked.
Luby's will remain dear to our hearts because they've always provided quality food at a reasonable price.

The food is always great, we made the mistake of ordering online for pickup. We got there at the time it was suppose to be ready and we ended up waiting 45 min. We saw drive thru flying out the window but our wait continued. I was told by an employee that was hanging out after his shift that it's faster to go inside and look at your food being served for your to go order. It's faster. 😉 He said "pickup always takes long next time go inside."

Good food. Service not as good or as fast as other Lubys we've been to. Large windows let in sun but across the street old restaurant closed and for sale. Trying to revamp the area. No issues, safe and lots of parking.

Things were pretty hectic this past Wednesday! Thanks to the wait staff on Main St. Y'all were so nice and accommodating considering the rush you were experiencing. Hope you had a good Thnxgvng day. Tell your bosses we appreciate you!
