Pinkerton's Barbecue

Great food! Loved the pulled pork and how they pull/chop/mix it fresh per order. Sides were solid and tasty.

Bourbon options are a nice option too.

It does appear there are some opportunities to improve the service line process to reduce time in line. Hope they are looking at this to make the entire experience more enjoyable.

I look forward to going back.

PS - Preston, who clears the tables, is super nice and does a nice job engaging with customers.

The place is really nice inside and out. The brisket is delicious and they have the best bread pudding in San Antonio. I went on Saturday, and you only have to show up 20 minutes before they open to get a good place in line. This will probably change though. I expect Pinkerton's to become more popular due to the excellent food and service. It is also family friendly. There is a large green space where kids can play.

This is a great setting for barbecue. Lots of indoor and outdoor seating. The brisket sandwich is loaded with moist, tender brisket. No teeth required to eat it. The bun has an almost sweet cornbread flavor to it that works well with the smoke and salt flavors of the meat. Definitely beats white bread. Full bar. Nice hunting lodge style decor. In my top three of SA barbecue joints.

Great service, family friendly location, outside bar if you want a drink while you wait. BBQ had great flavor, meat came apart easily. Beef and pork ribs were delicious. Brisket, turkey, and sausage were on point. Sides were delicious as well. It was worth every cent and definitely going back for more.

Went in with zero expectations. We loved it! We ordered the brisket & turkey, slaw, potato salad, mac n cheese and the bread pudding! We've been searching everywhere for smoked turkey like they do in Kentucky and this was by far the best we've had in Texas! The staff were all very friendly and helpful. The atmosphere is awesome and would be a great place to come grab a drink. Service was quick. Will be our new favorite go to for BBQ!
