Awesome food and management. Ate at their Corpus Christi location and I was stuck. Glad they came to SA and soon to other cities. Julio was an attentive manager and his staff was professional. Clean and safe place to eat. Ten stars if I could. Again they excelled in cleanliness, great hospitality by Julio, Britney, and staff, great food (#2 Boil Combo was a hit tonight), and a safe environment. This place will not disappoint. More locations are opening around Texas so it shows they are doing something great... try them out!!!
FANTASTIC!!! Service was excellent! And the seafood...delish! Ordered the Don Julio special. 1 pound of king crab, 1 pound of shrimp, 3 boiled eggs, sausage, corn & potatoes. Added a lobster tail, cause why not. Everything was perfectly cooked. Old Bay seasoning and garlic butter with a medium level spice. Perfection!
If you like Smashing Crab, do yourself a favor and come check these guys out! Totally worth it!
Wow! Outstanding...
My husband and I are always willing to try new Cajun seafood places. Keep in mind most of them could be pretty pricey but this one is very affordable they have daily specials. William was very outgoing, helpful and , quick definitely enjoyed his service. We had one of the daily specials in medium spice level with the surfing special flavor and added 1/2 lb of snow crab. It filled us up perfectly not too much and not too little. The taste was delightful, definitely will be coming back!
The food was good but not great.
FYI make sure you look at your receipt before you leave. There were 5 adults and a 1 year old at the table so they charged us gratuity. Every time I’ve gone to a restaurant it clearing stats gratuity and at what percentage. Well not Surfing Crab, they try to be sneaking about it. On the bottom of your receipt it just says charge and it’s include with the subtotal and the taxes so it’s easy to miss. And then when they run your card and give you the receipt to sign, it shows recommended tip amounts.
So I left a tip because I wasn’t aware that we were already being charged gratuity.
***So FYI pay attention to the receipt and make sure they don’t try to be sneaky with you too***
