Great food. Good mix of deli classics with some South Texas and maybe even some West Texas influences.
My favorite is their whitefish appetizer which you just can’t find at other places in San Antonio. Have also tried their veggie sandwich and it was great.
Really like their cocktail menu. Good selection of drinks on there. My favorite is their number 1 with celery soda and dill.
Perfect location. Lots of parking. Great outdoor patio spaces.
Glad to have a place like this in the neighborhood.
I recommend you try this place out.
I would’ve given this establishment 3 stars, but Randy made up for it! He was an excellent server. He was attentive, quick, and alert. He immediately noticed that we hadn’t been helped by the staff and got us our drinks and order sent to the kitchen straightaway. His attitude was positive and chill. Great job, Randy! I will definitely request him during my next visit.
We did curbside today for the first time and loved it! Their toast tab is the best I’ve seen, it gives options to modify everything exactly how you want to, which is hard to come by! It also has an option for curbside.
We got the meatloaf sandwich and pastrami sandwich. Both were absolutely great but the meatloaf really stood out to us. The tomato jam was so delicious - I’ll be dreaming of it for days. We also loved the fries and their house made chips. We will definitely be back!
Ordered the chicken club, white fish spread, and potato salad to go. Not going to hold it to the standards of actually eating in, but it was still all very good. Everything was plated neatly in plastic containers. The ingredients were very fresh and flavorful, and the potato salad was perfectly balanced. The ONLY real problem I had with the food was the couple sharp bones I found in the fish spread. I stabbed my mouth/throat a couple of times. Could be potentially dangerous. A warning on the dish description or just being a bit more careful with prep would be appreciated. Anyway, overall still a pretty good experience for ordering to go. I will definitely make some time to dine in soon.
We went here for the first time tonight and it did not disappoint. This place has a cool modern vibe but with a small town feel.
The food is fresh and unique. If you're so inclined for an alcoholic drink here, you won't regret it. I personally vouch for their "Catcher in the Rye" and their Old Fashioned. The Happy Hour is 3 to 6pm. Enjoy!
