Tías Taco Hut

I wanted to love this place! The food is fine, the service is excruciating...picking up some tacos is a 30-40 minute ordeal, and I only have half an hour for lunch. If you have an hour and a half to eat, I'm sure Tia's is great! I just can't make it work for myself.

I love tacos. I love fajitas. I am always down to try some place new. We were very disappointed when the Taco Cabana at this location closed because it was very good and convenient for us when in business. When we saw that a Tia's Taco Hut was opening, we couldn't wait to try it. We enjoy the sister restaurant (Gulf Coast Fish House for seafood). Here, we tried the steak fajita and gordita plates. I soooooooo wanted to like this restaurant, but I have to admit, we did not particularly like the first visit. Although my fajita plate presentation was great, the smokey flavor of the fajitas was interrupted by the burnt flavor of being over-cooked. My sons chicken gordita plate was fine. We'll have to try it again to see if the quality of the food preparation on the fajitas improves.

Great food, service, and atmosphere.
Tortillas are fluffy and light like abuelita used to make.
Whole wheat pancakes.
Better value than Denny's "Grand Slam"
