“Honestly, it’s a special place. Dating back to 1867, the place has a fascinating history. It’s been a gathering place for over 150 years for the German and German-American community, but is completely welcoming of anyone, either locals or visitors from out of town or abroad. But what is it?! It’s a singing club for both men and women, that ALSO serves some basic but tasty German hot-food options Tuesday through Saturday. On Tuesdays the singers meet to rehearse, as well as to meet old and new friends in the bar. It’s a great spot for First Friday’s and for any event linked to Germany like Octoberfest, but also hosts other events like the Super Bowl. Beers are fresh and are mix of local and German options, and they have wine as well. There’s a huge beer garden outside with plenty of room, and then the old bar space inside next to where the women’s choir rehearses. It’s lovely! A must visit for all.”

“Oh yeah, very authentic , delicious Al pastor tacos. They were very nicely sliced and full of flavor ! The down side is that they are street tacos @ $2.50 a mini taco. I would of preferred a regular tortilla instead and wouldn’t have minded to pay a extra $1.00 or so. They also have a small limited menu. I would definitely recommend if you want to grab a quick snack.”

“Amazing food!!! La Focaccia Italian Grill is my favorite Italian restaurant in San Antonio. It's a cute cozy little place with its own essence and atmosphere on the corner of South Town. The brick oven makes the place smell amazing baking the homemade bread. The service is always on point, the food is delicious and there is always good music playing. The booths give an old theater vibe, the lighting and ambience is romantic yet you feel like family. Hands down a definite place to visit and revisit again. “I visited this restaurant today and the fried chicken was excellent! The fried chicken was crispy, moist, tasty, seasoned properly and delicious! My waiter Cirillo was great, he was very attentive and polite. The inside including the restaurants were really clean. I loved the special they had which I ordered and it was 2 breast that comes with Baked Beans and Cole Slaw that can be substituted for 50 cents. I substituted the Baked Beans for the Greens on the menu. I did not like the Greens, they tasted like Spinach with a very tiny amount of pork for added flavor. The Cole Slaw was okay but it definitely was not the best I've had. I will definitely be back for the fried chicken and the prices are great!”
