The South Chicken & Waffles

Brunch or Dinner -- You cant go wrong.

What an amazing establishment. From the moment you walk in, you're family. The music adds to the southern vibe. The food made us come back a few days later for breakfast. Each meal made with love and the drinks (alcoholic or not) were amazing.

I have been here twice. I have a personal 3 visit review policy for restaurants because most lack consistency.

Environment: Hipster vibe. I like it.

1st visit:
I ordered chicken and waffle sliders with fries. The chicken was not seasoned enough. Wasn't good to me.

2nd visit:
I ordered the same thing the chicken was actually seasoned well and it was wonderful! Thumbs up.

Feedback:
Chicken and waffles are supposed to provide unique flavors that contrast...sweet & salty. This is what makes it good. Avoid making bland chicken.

I will visit a 3rd time to provide a final score.

DELICIOUS! MY first ever taste of chicken and waffles did not disappoint! The service was quick and friendly, the place was clean, and the atmosphere was open and modern. I ordered the chicken and waffle sliders, with mixed batter (red velvet/buttermilk) and it was served with syrup. My husband got the original chicken and waffled, but with tenders instead of a breast/wing, also served with syrup. We were absolutely stuffed afterwards and took some food to go! We will definitely come back to try their other breakfast foods, the biscuits and gravy are calling my name!!

This place is amazing! The waffles are super light & fluffy and I could eat half a dozen if I they let me. Ordered the famous chicken & waffles. The chicken portion is generous and fresh & delicious. We also ordered the meat lovers omelet which I HIGHLY recommend and can feed 2 or 3 people alone. The fresh lemonade was very good. I look forward to trying everything else on the menu.
