Prices are too high, tacos are too big, and the to go bags are flimsy. Not something I would recommend eating on the go. You need to sit down with this taco because they are huge and messy.
There taco's are the bomb went for the first time and you really get what you pay for good people and bigger than I thought
AR's is a small walk-up order-at-the-window kind of place. There are a few picnic tables to sit at and eat on property, though it really is a "to go" kind of place. The building is set back a bit and easy to miss. The menu is fairly simple. The tacos are massive, probably close to one pound in weight. The menu says you get two ounces of salsa, additional ones are $0.50. However, the salsa actually fills a 2 oz. container only half way. So, you're really getting one ounce. If you like real cheese, avoid the cheese here. It appears to be a processed American cheese rather what I expected to be shredded cheddar. A bad assumption on my part, I guess. Overall, OK, but not my favorite. Still looking for that great breakfast taco in Angleton.
If you are heading south on 288 and think about hitting bucees for breakfast tacos, turn left and go here instead. It's super fast and really good. Salsa is way better too.
Terrific tacos. Our first visit to A.R.'s tacos, but it won't be the last. My wife and I ordered 1 at around $5.50 or so, each. Seemed a little high until we saw them. The tacos are huge; we ended up splitting them eating one on Saturday and the other on Sunday. Try it and you will want to go back too.
