She was very friendly and made me feel welcome. The mint chocolate shake is awesome! Plus the $1 menu is a good deal. I will definitely go back even though it's a pretty good drive to get there. “I ate lunch at Filipp's Cafe with my sister and our youngest children (1 year old twins and a 5 year old). We all had the fried shrimp, they were fresh, huge, and so delicious! Seasoned fries were also yummy. Friendly, courteous, old-fashioned, down-home service and fresh hand-battered goodness like you just don't find often. The place has a cool family history and a laid back feel. Truly a hidden gem. I travel to Danbury every couple of months and look forward to the next opportunity to eat here.”

“I just bought me some property out in Danbury. Wanted to eat before driving back to Friendswood. What a wonderful group of ladies and there food was amazing. I probably should of gotten some of my food to go. But instead I finished all of my stake and mashed potatoes and fried okra. The steak was amazing and perfectly cooked. To top the night off I went all out and got some of there banana pudding. That was out of this world. Its 8pm on a Friday night and all I want to do is lay down and go to sleep. What great people and great food. Cant wait to go back next Friday.”

“I stopped at the drive through and purchased the 12 piece chicken with 2 sides tonight on my way home. The chicken had been freshly cooked and I was given a warning at the window about it being hot. I assured the clerk that I wouldn’t be snacking on the way home. At home I found that the fried okra side order was huge, fresh and very tasty. The chicken is lightly breaded and very tasty. A lot of the other chicken joints in greater Alvin drown the chicken in batter and if it’s late you get the old chicken that’s been hanging around for hours. I stopped at 8:06 PM and got fresh chicken. My wife also approves of this chicken as fresh.”

Staff was extremely friendly, helpful, and stayed on top of keeping a variety of fresh pizzas out and making sure the restaurant stayed clean. My absolute fav pizza and the main reason I visit is the taco pizza. Unfortunately, the owner at this location doesn't order the ingredients to make it which was a bummer, but still good selections. We'll def return. Awesome customer service and great pizza!”
