Layne's Chicken Fingers

Better than Cane’s. More chicken for cheaper, and the sauce is better. You can sub the potato salad for toast, fries, or extra sauce.

The drive through here is admittedly pretty bad, since you order, pay, and get the food all at one window. But if anyone is the the drive through line, just going inside and ordering to go is quicker.

They also sell cool koozies for $2.50.

A TAMU tradition, Laynes is the original chicken finger restaurant in town and definitely has the better chicken fingers. I just wish I got some really good bread with my meal as my wife loves it from the competition.

Excellent fried chicken, their tenders are juicy and the breading is fresh and crisp. Their dipping sauce beats all others, and the fries and toast that come with the meal are pretty good to. Highly reccomend after a long night out on the town.

We had the basic chicken finger basket, and the chicken was perfectly cooked, lightly-battered and moist. The fries were also very good and the signature dipping sauce spicy, but not too. They do not make their own potato salad, but it is excellent. The Texas toast could have been a bit more brown, but that's down to my personal taste. Oh, and the iced tea was also excellent. The student types who run the restaurant are cordial and fun.
