ADDENDUM: Second time to visit for breakfast. What a difference between our first visit and this one. I was impressed! All the positive comments in my previous visit still stands. As for negative comments - nonexistent during this visit! It was a very enjoyable experience of great food and service. The breakfast was hot, prepared just right, and full of flavor. If you haven't been to MESS Waffles, plan to go. You will not be disapointed. We plan to return soon.

First time to visit MESS and based on the reviews, I was expecting better. We arrived just prior to opening and waited along with other early arrivals. First, the positive. All staff were very friendly and made you feel welcome. They have two blends of coffee and you can expect great flavor from either one. One is slightly mild but still full of flavor. If you prefer bold, that's available too but not bitter. I tried both and was very pleased. I ordered the MESS Breakfast with bacon. Their website doesn't list it but pork or "real" bacon is one of their choices. The breakfast comes with scrambled eggs, waffle (with syrup on the side), and cubed potatoes with a delicious light crust. The potatoes were hot and excellently seasoned. The waffle also had good flavor but could have been served warmer. Seating is available indoors as well as out. Being new, you can expect a fresh, clean enviornment.
Now for the negative: The scrambled eggs were way overdone, almost to the point of your La Quinta "free breakfast eggs". If you like your eggs soft to medium scrambled, be sure to inform them when ordering. Also, my eggs and my guest's eggs were served barely warm, not hot. Same with the waffle - only warm. Since the potatoes were the only hot item on the plate I suspect the waffle and eggs had to sit while the potatoes finished cooking. The eggs could also use some seasoning. If you like your bacon extra crisp, then you will be pleased. I wasn't but that's how it's prepared. Anything less, you you'll have to inform them when ordering. I'll know next time. Instead of salt/pepper at each table, there is a common area where only a couple of shakers sit and they were practically empty. Also, the napkin holder was empty. Something you wouldn't expect when the restaurant had only been open 5 minutes.
MESS Waffles has great potential. It's not there yet but the food is good and I will return.

Three vegan options? Yes please! I got the kids PB&J with gluten-free/vegan waffles and it was amazing. The stuff was helpful, with the menu too. My only qualm was that they brought my boyfriend's food out well before mine, so he was done while I was still waiting. So they need to work on their server timing, but despite this we will definitely be back!

I used to come all the time when they were a waffle food truck. They are still tasty, but I hardly go anymore. I am extremely disapointed they no longer offer the chicken & waffles that you can eat like a sandwich. Their waffles are now too thick to fold and eat like a sandwich, the one thing that put this place on top! Eating chicken on top of waffles with a knife and fork is very frustrating compared to the sandwich style. I just want to fold it and eat it. Its sad I can never experience it like it used to be before I graduate. I've heard many others voice the same complaint that I have. But I wish the owner the best of luck. He's an awesome guy and always remembers my name.

Loved the chicken and waffles I got when I was there. So yummy!! The cashier person was very nice and even brought me some syrup for my food. The chicken was very juicy and the waffles were really good. The maple aoili sauce was also very tasty. Normally not into that type of sauce but I enjoyed it! Always heard about this place but never got to try it til recently but I'll definitely will try to come back and eat here again! ✨????????????

Today was my first time visiting this restaurant. The restaurant was clean and had a good atmosphere. The food came out fast and the servers were nice. You wait in line to order food, then go and sit with a number. My visit was pleasant except for one thing. My perception of macaroni and cheese has been shuddered forever. No longer can I enjoy a bowl without thinking of the up, cluck and away that I tasted today. My boyfriend and I finished our food in ten minutes. This is officially the best cheat meal that I have ever had in my life.

Update: they don’t sell Mac and cheese before 10:30 am. Also we tried the hot honey sauce for the chicken and waffles and didn’t care for it. The French toast was okay, but I would have rather gotten the waffles.
