Magoo's Place

Popular spot with the locals. Food is nothing special but the people you meet here are the gem! Waitress, while very busy, gave us great service. Food came out rather fast for the amount of traffic in this restaurant. Fun atmosphere, loud, and crowded but that's what makes this place a must visit.

I lived in Alpine as a student and I never went here. So, I came back to work at Sul Ross State. My coworker took me here for lunch. I had breakfast (French toast and hash browns). It was very delicious. The service was pretty good, too.

My only gripe with this place is that it closes at 2 p.m. during the week and noon on the weekends. It should stay open longer.

First time at this place. I had the chicken fried steak with jalapeno gravy which I had never heard of. It was delicious. The gravy was not spicy hot but it had the jalapeno flavor which was very good. Everybody was very nice and made sure that everything was good. Great place in a small town I'll be back

Good homemade food, excellent breakfast!
3 egg omelet, added vegetables, sausage and cheese. Hashbrowns are a must here.

This place was recommended to us from someone in Fort Davis and I am glad she recommended it. The food was excellent and the service was fantastic as well especially since we came in 15 minutes before closing time. I really liked our waitress since she was of great spirits and she really took good care of us.
We will be back again when we are in the Alpine area.
