    Great place for steaks, burgers, etc.. Quiet country restaurant that gets a lot of business! Really popular for their Chicken Fried Bacon!!! That's right the chicken fried bacon is amazing, who would have thought!!! You get several pieces of bacon that are chicken fried served with a nice bowl of cream gravy for dipping! It makes a really great appetizer!! We ordered their chicken Fried steaks with mashed potatoes, and Mac and cheese for the sides for our lunch and weren't disappointed! It's not very far from Texas A&M and is a very popular spot for Fire Fighters from around the state that come to train at the A&M fire academy. There are banners and patches adorning the walls from Fire Department's all over the state!

    Platter sized Chicken Fried Steaks along with Regular Steaks. TX Monthly magazine rated! Try the decadent deep fried bacon????

    Food was good. Portions are big. Service was good. Only one other couple in there while we were there. Kinda quiet.

    Nothing fancy, just good steak and good service. I just learned that this restaurant is known for their huge servings of steak. Their extra small is 16oz so hubby and I decided to split a small one which was probably a 18-20. oz. We also ordered Onion Ring which came out really good. We definitely will go back if we happen to be in the area again.
