Went late after noon, food was tasty, got brisket, shoulder clod and pork chop. Food looks amazing when the pull if off the pit and are carving it up in front of you. Brisket was decent but a little dry, shoulder cold was dry and not as tasty as I was hoping it would be ( first time trying it). And the pork chop was good ( didn't match my expectations from when they carved it). Made a brisket sandwich with avocado and hot sauce on the tables, gave it some moisture. Potato salad was good

This is truly a Texas tradition and really enjoyed my visit. Great BBQ... have to ask for sauce & l forgot to ask for it so missed out as l took my order to go. Seeing the big puts & seeing the fires glowing & smelling the smoke just adds to the ambiance!!

The atmosphere is awesome, and the folks making the BBQ are really cool and friendly. Being able to see the pits and cooking area is way cool especially when the staff are around to discuss the process. In other parts of the country, this would be the best BBQ around, no contest. The sides are good as well since they are made fresh daily, minus the white bread which they buy.

I was told this is one of the best places in Texas to eat barbecue and boy were they right. If you're looking for some fancy new joint with a bunch of fake cowboy flash then don't come here. If you're looking to find a place where the screen doors and worn from hands opening and closing them for generations.... if you're looking for an experience of food over atmosphere.... if you're looking to have some of the best damn Texas barbecue you've ever had.... this is your spot.

Sooooo good. Brisket was moist and very very flavorful. Sausage was peppery and delicious. Pork ribs were meaty and fall-off-the-bone. Pork chops were ½ thick and dry but tasty. Love the dining room. Long tables where everyone eats next to each other. Get there early before lunch or at 2pm. The food is good all times of the day.
