“The tacos here could possibly be the place where tacos originated. A surreal burst of flavor with every bite that is taken leaves you wanting more. You can also feel and savor every different texture, from the white grated cheese and the acidity of the cilantro. To that sweet caramelized onion and the moist ripe avocado melting in your mouth then to top it off, the tripa made to perfection with such an amazing crunch, yet soft texture… it truly makes your mouth water and crave more. If the food isn’t the best part, the staff will make you feel right at home with their quick service and enjoyable conversation. This place altogether from the food to the people there make you feel welcomed and at home when dining in. It is a remarkable experience that I would love for others to get exposed to.”

“Love this place! Aside from having great customer service, they have a great variety of items for every kind of needs. From drinks to snacks, to your basic grocery needs like milk, eggs, etc. I like how they have promotional days where they do 50% off micheladas, as well as their raffles on their FB page. Their prepared drinks are made to perfection! With that said, I definitely recommend their Mango Margaritas!”

“Don’t skip this Tiny Treasure! Almost missed the best fish tacos we’ve ever eaten. We appreciate Manager Rudy for making us feel so welcome, then he proceeded to make us the freshest food in town. Seafood soup was delicious with hearty chunks of fish, shrimp and calamari topped with fresh cilantro. The salsa has a great spice. We ate the whole bowl. Beautifully plated Tacos on perfectly charred white corn tortillas with plentiful grilled black drum, served with fresh cabbage, cilantro, avocado and garlic, and topped with crumbled queso fresco and lime. Yummy! We will be back!”

“Small Mexican restaurant. I don't think they get tourists there very often. I enjoyed the flavor of the food, but was quite spicey compared to what I usually eat, and it wasn't even listed as being spicey. I think its just safer to assume almost everything there is spicey.”

“Delicious, authentic Thai food (and boba tea!) in a clean, comfortable, friendly restaurant with reasonable prices. High, open ceilings, plenty of tables and seating, (approximately 50); tastefully decorated; and very clean; this restaurant is a great place to meet with family, friends or business associates for an excellent meal. The Green Curry with Tofu, and Drunken Noodle with Pork were tasty and fresh, and good-size portions. The strawberry bubble tea was amazing! Overall restaurant cleanliness including the restroom was absolutely top-notch. Easy to get to right off the highway. Now open Sundays.”

“This may have been the least Chik-Fil-Aish CFA I've ever been to. Service was subpar for CFA. The bathroom was a mess.”

“Wow this place is super delicious! I am usually not a fish guy, so I got fried fish and my girl got that whole fish. The smells were surprisingly good. But if you're not a fish person, they also have mexican food. The unsweet tea is very refreshing. Drinks are served in large mason jars, and the wait staff is very attentive. They will come to you to pay, so you don't need to get ip to pay. Per my girl, the huachinango wasn't the best she's had in portion or flavor, but it's still good.”

“Gio’s is a Brownsville institution. It has been here for over 40 years and has been run by the same family since the beginning. Don’t go here expecting a fancy Italian restaurant. This is an old-school, cozy Italian joint. They treat everybody like family. The food is fantastic. The prices are moderate and fair considering the quality of the food. I love their thin crust style of pizza. Also, their bread, salad and calzones are amazing as well. If you love local spots, you will love this place. Just remember it’s an family run business. it’s not a chain style commercial type of environment with a generic atmosphere. So that means it’s a great spot in my kind of place. If you are new to Brownsville, just passing through it or have lived here your whole life you will really enjoy Gio’s!”
