Been coming here for years on my way through, never had a bad experience. *UPDATE: stopped through here again on my way north and usually park my big truck along the road in the last strip of parking spots. Never been a problem for the previous owners. They always had plenty of room to accommodate me for 40 minutes or so while I dined. This time I pulled in as usual and one of the new owners chase me out of her parking lot! Little did she know that I had been coming there for years and told the other guys that I work with that it was a great place to stop for Thai food. I mean, there wasn't a single car in the whole parking lot, as I was there in the early afternoon and would have spent 40 or $50 there easily, because I always take some to go. Hey lady too bad, I won't be back.”

“If you're driving through, STOP. This place is quintessentially Texas in a building. Fried chicken, guns/ammo, tires, and pretty soon alcohol to boot!! Can't find anything like this in a big city. Also - AMAZING burgers with fresh cut fries are the true treasure at this all-in-one local gem. You'll definitely stick out like a sore thumb if you're from out of town, but it hasn't stopped me from going back multiple times now. Yum!!”

Outdoor seating sufficient to seat large groups of people but air conditioned indoor seating was also available. Called order ahead and it was ready when we arrived so I can't speak to the speed of the service but everyone at the counter was friendly. Overall, stopping here every time I am driving through. “Stopped here for dinner while on a long road trip and must say it was ABSOLUTELY delicious !!! We weren't sure if we had the right place as they just have the original "ANTIQUES" sign on the outside of the historic building. Upon entering I was taken back but the old time feel inside the establishment.The girl that took our order was adorable and so polite. She even gave us a little insight on the history of the place. Our food arrived on a big cookie sheet which was just my style, no nonsense and straight to the point. I must say, the ribs had just the right amount of smoke to em. My 2 year old loved the sausage with a side of mac n cheese. The house bbq sauce was excellent and I loved the Stubborn soda fountain. Sometimes it really is the little things that make the experience a great one. What seemed to be the owner even came up to greet us and as how our order was tasting. We will definitely be back in if our travels bring us back this way. Thank you Porky's for the great barbaque and hospitality.”
