BRIO Tuscan Grille

The food and service were exceptional. The speed at which food arrived was a bit on slow side. The caveat, we were a large party but the place did not seem busy when we arrived. This was not servers fault, they did great.

We have been to this restaurant several times over the years, and was one of my favorites for Italian. After being seated, it was a good 15 to 20 minutes before we were greeted (might have been 5 or 6 tables occupied in the whole place). Another five minutes for our drinks to show up after we were greeted.

We started off with the artichoke dip which was alright. I had the lasagna which was ok, nothing to write home about. Was the first time I had ordered this there though. Had the beef medallions the last time we were in which were great. The wife ordered the mushroom ravioli (something she ordered every time we went there), and it looked like it was plated in the water it was cooked in. The wife is not one to cause a fuss, and she was really hungry and didn’t want to wait for a remake. So she just ate what she received. With so few people in the restaurant I would have expected more out of the kitchen.

We were given several excuses over the course of our dinner. I’m not one for excuses, just step up to the plate and get the job done. A simple we are sorry for the inconvenience would have sufficed.

Friday evening our group of seven had a great experience at Brio. The food was good, but the 5-star rating really goes to Simona, our waitress. She was somehow able to accommodate our group with its various special requests as though they were no big deal and efficiently handle 6 different checks. Without a doubt, one of the best waitresses Ive ever had.

My wife and I made reservations for Valentine's Day at Brio and aside from the wait we were not disappointed. We started off at the bar until our table was ready. I really like the lettuce wedge that you can customize to your taste.

We had lobster and shrimp fettuccine and salmon. The salmon had small aldente sweet potato cubes along with asparagus and red bell pepper.

I highly recommend Brio!
