The Cheesecake Factory

My 3 star rating takes previous positive experiences into account, however today marks the end of my relationship with Allen’s Cheesecake Factory. As today is a holiday, we purposefully arrived at the start of service to not only avoid crowds but catch service and the food at its best before the day took its toll on both. We didn’t even get that far. We were seated at a table that had obviously not been cleaned. Napkins and dirty silverware had been placed on top of crumbs and dried food stains. I sought out the manager to not only alert him of the state of our table but to gauge our impending experience. Let’s just say that his appearance matched that of the table. When I showed him the table we were presented with he asked “what would you like me to do? You want new silverware?” It was at this point our groups’ eyes locked and we made the collective non-verbal decision to leave. As a manager, it is your responsibility to ensure that each patron has a quality experience, beginning with a clean, sanitary eating space. If you can’t manage that in the dining area, how am I to trust that your kitchen space does not have the same challenges. Do better Cheesecake Factory. This was just disgusting!

It was good. Super crowded. Almost wish the layout wasn't so crowded. The servers are stretched to the max. Very friendly. Good food. Gotta try the avocado egg rolls. I promise you will not be disappointed!!

My favorite place for cheesecake. Everything was good from service to ambience to cleanliness- restroom was clean. Sat down quick and had drinks served promptly.

This particular Cheesecake Factory used to be one of the few restaurants we considered absolutely worthy of our time and money. The food was prepared well, with quality ingredients, and served in a timely manner. Service was reasonably prompt and servers were attentive.

For the most part, that continues to be the case. The last few months, however, something seems to be changing. With a party of five, we’ve waited an unreasonable amount of time for our food to arrive, on several occasions. On one of those occasions, one order was wrong (in a food-allergy way) and had to be sent back.

Take-out desserts are still delicious, but they seem to be getting smaller. The ice cream for cheesecake a la mode ($1.95 extra) came in a 2-ounce plastic condiment cup, when in the past it was delivered in a cup-sized paper ice cream container. The hot fudge sundae’s “hot fudge sauce” (2 condiment cups!) was not hot fudge; it was room-temperature chocolate sauce. As in, straight-up Hershey’s.

So I can’t recommend Cheesecake Factory’s take-out desserts. But you’re likely to have an adequate dining experience in the restaurant, if your party isn’t too large.

The problem with this place is that the menu is enormous and a lot of it is good. You figure most places concentrate on a type of food, but not this restaurant. I had gumbo and it was good. I said easy on the spices as they tend to be heavy handed with the hot stuff. Great beer selection and fully stocked bars. Friendly staff. Decent food. Good for an outing with friends.
