Excellent BBQ! The brisket melts in your mouth, pulled pork is seasoned perfectly. Sides were good & sauce has just enough spicy kick to it. Craft sodas are the perfect accompaniment. I wanted some Texas BBQ while visiting Dallas and Blu’s was spot on! Helpful & friendly staff and the atmosphere is fun!
Ribs are smokey with great flavor from the rub. Not quite as tender as I like but so close. Sliced brisket has plenty of smoke but lacked strong flavor from the almost nonexistent outside bark. Loaded smoked baked beans were awesome as well as the brisket stuffed jalapeno popper. Didn't taste any peppers in the three pepper slaw and the cilantro flavor overwhelmed any subtlety. This is a brand new place and I'm excited to see what else they add and refine.
Great brisket!!! May be the best I've ever had. I rate the brisket higher than cattleack or pecan lodge.sauce was just right. The sides were made from scratch but would give them 3 stars, were probably made yesterday or the day before. They don't carry coke or Dr Pepper products. No lemons for iced tea. All easy fixes.
I really enjoyed their pork spare ribs; be sure to try their Spicy BBQ sauce version. Baked beans were excellent, as well as the mac n’ cheese. My father had the sliced brisket sandwich (moist) and there was plenty of meat that he said was delicious.
I would've added pics to my post, but the food was simply amazing. Meat was very tender and not salty at all. The sides are great as well, we had the Mac n cheese and sweet potato casserole. Both were simply amazing. Really happy to see a place like this in the neighborhood and hope it attracts loads of people
