Desi District (McKinney)-Restaurant, Halal Meat & Groceries

I enjoyed the cafe/food court environment and snacks. I didn't care much for the store as they don't have good space or arrangement for the aisles mainly for vegetables. Felt very tight.
I hope they will improve as time goes on.

These guys opened already closed kitchen specifically for my order, something that deserves 5 stars. Nice clean place, if you’re not tolerant to the Indian spiciness, trust me, even the mild level is gonna burn. So try getting something that’s not spicy. Overall food tasted good, adequate pricing, took them 15-20 minutes to cook the food for a leas busy afternoon. Wouldn’t say the best place to dine in as the tables aren’t really set up for the most convenient dine in experience, but a great place to carry out, which explains why they’re always busy from the day 1.

Stopped by on a whim and decided to order dinner to go. The food was great! The flavors were fantastic, wonderful flavors and spices. The portion sizes were decent and prices were competitive, and the selection broad. The only reason I didn't rate five stars is that the service, while very polite and clearly customer-focused, was very slow, taking more than 40 minutes from order to service. It seemed as if some of the staff didn't know what they were doing, and either stood around talking or acted busy doing nothing of significance. I'll chalk this up to being a new restaurant and still getting their legs under them. These are things that can be fixed. I'll be back again, but I'll be prepared for a longer wait.
