The service here was outstanding. Quick, attentive and accurate.
Mediterranean salad was great. Ordered a Brooklyn Bridge pizza (described as "New York Style"). I expect this style to have a thin, slightly charred, crispy crust that doesn't droop when folded and tomato sauce that is more tangy than sweet. The sauce was sweet and the crust was doughy and droopy. It was still pretty good, just not what we were expecting.
The decor is a bit unusual, but the place is extremely clean and well kept. Kind of like the pizza - not bad, just not what I was expecting.
I’ve already been twice since they opened. If you loved Picasso’s pizza here in Dallas then you must come to Andrews! Owned by the son with the same great quality and various options for pizza! I love the butter crust and have not been able to find anywhere else! You will not be disappointed- make this your local weekly pizza night out!!!
recently visited with my family, incredible food and even nicer people. best pizza I’ve had in dallas in years. my kids loved it too.
Excellent pizza. The "Dallas style" crust is a thin crust that you don't find at too many places. They also have Chicago, New York, Detroit, and tavern style.
Service was good. Not only was our waitress attentive, but anyone who walked by made sure we were good.
My boys got the kids meals of pizza and spaghetti. I snuck a bite of the spaghetti and it was excellent.
Definitely a place to go multiple times to try all the things.
Here is my honest review of Andrew’s - American Pizza Kitchen:
First, and in my opinion, the most important thing to me, the food is really, really good. I had the meatballs as an appetizer and the Andrew’s Masterpiece Pizza for my entree. The meatballs were absolutely delicious, I would argue the best I’ve had in a long while - this is from someone who religiously eats Kenny’s Italian Kitchen’s meatballs. Other than the food, here are my thoughts.
The decor is very unusual and not what I expected at all. The interior looks like a sports bar meets 70’s seafood restaurant. I was expecting a warm, Italian style restaurant that feels cozy. My personal suggestion? Keep the menu the EXACT SAME but completely redesign and redo the interior.
TLDR: Andrew’s American Pizza Kitchen has amazing food, but don’t go for the ambiance.
