Urban Rio Cantina & Grill

Visited the restaurant today during Sunday brunch hours and the service was good. Unfortunately management and the waiter had a miss on what was ordered, “Steak and Eggs” off the brunch menu. Excited and expecting to see a cooked medium-well skirt steak dressed with over-easy eggs, I was delivered sliced steak, topped with scrambled eggs, inside a tortilla.

The sides of salsa verse and guacamole did not accompany the order and had to ask. I kindly explained that I was confused as this wasn’t “steak and eggs” based off what the menu described. The restaurant insisted otherwise.

In the end, the food was ok yet the kitchen swung and missed on the brunch menu item, priced at $15 and ultimately was steak and scrambled egg soft tacos.

I won’t be visiting this restaurant again.

Nice place to visit in the heart of Down Town PLANO. The first floor is restaurant style, really nice and cozy. The second floor has more of a sports bar feel, they have many televisions for watching games, often have low key live music, and have a great balcony seating arrangement. The menu has plenty of options to choose from and the prices are fair. Before or after dining you can stroll through the eclectic shops or bars located within walking distance. Worth a visit!

Absolutely incredible all around. Patrick was our server and he was fantastic. Witty, funny, perfectly attentive, and incredibly helpful. Couldn’t have asked for a better server. The tamale pie that he recommended was delicious and way more than I could eat. Great cheap margs too. I’ll for sure be back time and time again!!

We had a wedding shower in one of their rooms and it was a wonderful location. They did appetizers, drinks, and dessert. The food was delicious and the wait staff was amazing! The staff is always super friendly and helpful when I've gone and I've never tried a bad dish there. It was fun having a wedding shower there were you didn't have to worry about the food or mixing drinks for anyone, they took care of everything. Excellent evening!
