“We ventured out of our comfort zone and our regular places to try something new. My wife heard about this place so she wanted us to try it. I eat so much Chinese or Oriental food that I can really judge. The food was good but missing I think the taste was a little bland with some food. My kids ordered a big dish of chowmein but ended up not eating it because they said it wasn't that good. When I tried it, I agreed with them. The orange chicken was not bad but was missing a little twang for me. Overall, they are OK, it's not bad but it's not my first choice.”

“We had a lovely evening out. Normally we order to go. But it was even nicer to come in. The Queen pizza was so delicious. The saucy sweet and the chicken moist on the pizza. They ran out of tortellini while we were there but Paul made us a special vegetarian lasagna that we really enjoyed! Thanks so much Paul for going out of your way to make us satisfied customers. The other staff was friendly as well, but Paul really stood out. Proud to know that there is someone who truly cares back in the kitchen. Thank you Paul we will definitely be back!”

“This was my first time at Cowboy Chicken. While I can appreciate marinated chicken, I found that their chicken was a bit too marinated for my liking. It wasn't bad but to me the chicken didn't taste like chicken. The sides of fried okra and corn nuggets were pretty good and so was the peach tea. They also have a house pepper sauce that's a good accompaniment to the chicken. The place was clean and the staff was friendly. I'd probably visit again.”

“Fast sandwiches but I have to be fair, the employees don't give a damn (and why should they when they getting paid dead broke wages) about your food. They run the food through a conveyor belt heater which adds a really weird plastic meat taste to it. Don't like it that much. The which wich in Austin has a real flattop griddle and I've never been able to replicate that flavor in Dallas no matter which location I go to. Crazy that corporate is headquartered in Dallas but the Dallas locations suck.”

“My husband Terry and I have stopped in several times. Brian, the owner, is a trained chef and seems to always be in the restaurant. He always greets us like old friends. The rest of the staff is friendly and helpful. Food is fantastic!!! There is something on the menu for those who love heat and those who don't. Salsa bar has a variety of flavors and textures. The homemade ranch is amazing!! Highly recommend the low key restaurant, with upscale flavors!”
