Big Poppy's Smoke Haus BBQ

Some great bbq, this dude truly knows his Q. I had a sausage plate with tater salad and charro beans. I truly enjoyed all of it. A very satisfying meal all around. A buddy got sliced brisket plate, and gave me a slice of the brisket, very good. Its hard to find a place with truly good q.
Would give poppys the title of pitmaster! The owner has a great attitude, you can tell that he appreciates your business. Will be back when ever I'm in the area.

Poppy's stands out to me for the service, not just the food. So many places seem to put up with you, and its nice to patron a place that you can tell cares.

Edit: i wanted to touch on his bbq sauce. You can tell it's not a generic run of the mill sauce. It seems homemade, has a unique flavor, packed full of flavor. A lot of care was put into creating the perfect sauce.

If you are in the Canyon Lake area, we highly recommend Big Poppy’s BBQ. We got a whole brisket and two racks of ribs to go. The ribs were gone before I thought to take a photo. YUM!! Randy and Karma are good people cooking great BBQ.
