Black's Barbecue

This place is good. I prefer the location in San Marcos. I get to decide how much of a side dish and it's more of a homey atmosphere.

Overall we enjoyed our lunch there. Both of us felt that the food we had was stuff that had been sitting as it seemed a bit dried out. The flavor was good though, so we'll be back for another visit.

Not too bad. Price is a little high. Beans are hands down the best thing they serve. Sausage is very greasy. Brisket is not bad. Always clean. Seating it okay but not ideal due to family picnic style tables. Beers are limited to two per customer didn’t like that.

Great BBQ, the place is really spacy and it has a good ambience. They play live country music and it's a good place to have a beer and enjoy some good meat. The side dishes are great! I gave it 4 stars because the ribs aren't all that great. They where a little chewy. So that's why. Overall everything is great.

Very juicy, tender meats but could be seasoned a bit more. Sides were lackluster in taste but not portion. Staff was friendly and helpful though, place was very clean and plenty of room. I wish there was more dessert selection!
